In this series the pull was to come back to the ground and connect with the beauty of the earth itself. While painting this series I listened to a lot of rhythmic music and nature sounds.
I explored different ranges of grey tones and winter themes (Winter Greyness, Zen Winter, Winter Solitude), as well as the warm, earthy and even fiery themes of Apassionata, Staccato, and Incandescent Mystery.
The main thread here was to connect with the earth, its rhythms, seasons and heartbeat. It’s also an exploration of the relationship between sound and color, rhythm and movement.
